Advanced Courses

Manual Flight

In the learning module “Manual Flight” you will learn how to stay in control of the Boeing 737 even without autopilot. It is a training we also give to professionals. You will learn the techniques for “stick handling” and how to read the instruments. No is more fun than flying “on the hand”!

Those who fly with a joystick or handlebar at home will find that it is very difficult. Therefore, you will also get tips on settings you can make at home to make the handling of your aircraft(s) more realistic.

SIDs and Approaches

Flying a prescribed departure route (SID) and neatly executing an approach is an art in itself. Even with the autopilot on. In this teaching module, you will learn how to apply airport maps and how to tackle pitfalls when flying an SID and approach. We will introduce you to the different types of approaches and the timing and sequence of important actions. This learning module is tough, but it will give your skills and knowledge a big boost.

Failure Management

The lesson module “failure management”  is for the more adventurous flightsimmers. What do you do when an important system or engine stops working? You will learn to deal with the consequences of failure for keeping your aircraft safely in the air and on the ground. You will become intensely familiar with the procedures, checklists and steps that must be followed to avoid going from bad to worse. An intense and exciting experience!

Flightsimmer training program

A 12-hour training program at a competitive rate of €1000 for up to two people. Order the strip card and start your training.

Lesson 1: Introduction to Boeing 737

Meet the cockpit of the Boeing 737. Important in this lesson is manual flying. You will learn the techniques for “stick handling” and how to read the instruments. You will learn key skills for the following lessons.

The training is 3 hours long.

Lesson 2: perform ILS landing

You can perform an ILS landing either manually or on autopilot. Both aspects emerge in the second training. Preparing on time, and accurately completing checklists is an important part.

The training is 3 hours long.

Lesson 3: flying SIDs and approaches.

Flying a prescribed departure route (SID) and neatly executing an approach is an art in itself. Even with the autopilot on. It is also part of our Advanced Course, and part of this training program.

The training is 3 hours long.

Lesson 4: full flight!

The final lesson is devoted to performing a flight from a to z. You start at the gate with the engines off. You fly down an SID, and during the flight you start preparations for landing. Finally, it’s time for landing at an airport of your choice!

The training is 3 hours long.
