SimFlying Founded (2012)

SimFlying was founded in November 2012 by Peter de Graaf. What began as a hobby evolved into the construction of a complete replica of a Boeing 737NG simulator. Until the coronavirus pandemic, the company continued to grow, attracting many returning customers who continue to fly today.

Both beginners and professionals found (and still find) SimFlying. Peter was responsible for the day-to-day operations, but was also the sole instructor. He also handled the simulator's maintenance himself—a busy job!

Acquisition of SimFlying (2021)

After nine successful years, Peter de Graaf is handing over the reins to Matthijs Tissen and Toby Enzerink. They are taking over SimFlying, with Peter remaining active in the background. Matthijs and Toby have subsequently breathed new life into SimFlying.

A new logo, a new website, improved online visibility, and a new team of instructors. The start of many exciting steps in the years to come.

Moving to Aalsmeer (2023)

In the summer of 2023, SimFlying took a major step. It moved to brand-new premises in Aalsmeer. While the previous space lacked air conditioning, was only accessible via an outdoor staircase, and had room for "only" one simulator, a major upgrade has now been completed.

The building in Aalsmeer has two floors, both air-conditioned, and several parking spaces in front. In addition to two simulators, SimFlying also has a meeting space realised.

New Boeing 737 simulator (2023)

In addition to the new building, SimFlying has also purchased a new Boeing 737 simulator! After years of loyal service, the old 737 was phased out in the summer of 2023. The new simulator features updated hardware, professional software, but also a brand new visual system with laser beamers. This makes the whole experience even better than before.

In April 2023, the simulator arrived at SimFlying's premises in Aalsmeer. After 2 months of hard work, the first customers were welcomed in June 2023. To this day, SimFlying continues to work on continuously improving the simulator.

Opening new location! (2023)

In the summer of 2023, it finally happened! SimFlying was reopened after a short closure (due to relocation) by owners Matthijs and Toby.

Together with our neighbor in Aalsmeer, we organized a beautiful, sunny BBQ, and visitors, partners, and investors had the opportunity to explore the new building and the new simulator. It was a great success and the start of a new SimFlying!

New Airbus A320 simulator! (2024)

SimFlying hasn't been sitting idle. Just six months after the move and the introduction of the new Boeing 737 simulator, SimFlying placed an order for a brand-new Airbus A2023 simulator in December 320. Since early March, we've been working day in, day out assembling and configuring the simulator.

With 4K laser projectors and original cockpit seats, the A320 has become a very high-quality simulator.

Upgrade Boeing 737NG (2024)

In October 2024, SimFlying performed major maintenance on the Boeing 737NG. For 10 days, they worked non-stop to dismantle the entire cockpit and then rebuild it, this time using the original controls from an old Boeing 737.

Since November 2024, the simulator has been equipped with original yokes and rudders, which makes the simulator even more realistic.
