Fear of flying training

SimFlying has a special 1-on-1 program for people who want to reduce their fear of flying. During this program you will be guided by one of our experienced instructors. He will take you on a flight in our simulator, after you have started up with a cup of coffee or tea.

The training lasts approximately 2 hours and costs €300.

What makes SimFlying's fear of flying training unique?
Most fear of flying trainings are given by a therapist/psychologist who tries to help the fear from a psychological perspective. Our training is much more practice-oriented, which means that we go through a flight from start to finish in the flight simulator under the guidance of one of our instructors, who are all commercial pilots by profession and therefore make short- and/or long-haul flights every week together with hundreds of passengers.

What does the fear of flying training look like?
You always start at the table with an introduction to our instructor, at the table while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. We tell you about the importance of safety in aviation, among other things. We do not only focus on 'insensitive' numbers and percentages, but especially on your experience. We look at everything that happens during a flight. The explanation is tailored to what you need to overcome your fear of flying. Fear of flying can be present in different forms.

When you are ready, you will take a seat in the simulator with the instructor. Nothing will happen yet, you will just sit down and absorb the impressions of the cockpit. The instructor will provide more information and explanation about flying.

The next step is that we are going to fly simulator. We build it up slowly and we show you different systems, such as the autopilot. We also explain to you what happens in the cockpit during a flight. Does it feel good? Then you can also fly a bit yourself under the guidance of our instructor!

After the flight there will be a debriefing with ample time to ask questions.

Who is this training suitable for?
This training is especially suitable for participants who already know where their fear of flying mainly comes from, such as fear of turbulence or landing.
The training is suitable for a maximum of two participants.
