2.5 hour training:
- Basic theory: principles of flying an airplane
- Cockpit familiarization: focus on Primary Flight Display, yoke and the Throttle Quadrant
- General flying skills: pitch and power
- Scan patterns to read and interpret the instruments
- Points of attention during the selection
- ~2 hours of training in our B737NG simulator
- Debriefing including tips and tricks
2 hour training:
- Briefing, focusing on the points of attention of the selection program.
- ~1:30 hours of training in our B737NG simulator
- Debriefing including tips and tricks
1.5 hour refresher:
- Short briefing and review of strengths and weaknesses during the first training
- ~1:15 hours of training in our B737 simulator
- Short debriefing
What does a flight school typically want to see?
- Ability to fly constant values on the PFD including: pitch angle, bank angle, speed, altitude and vertical speed.
- Ability to multitask: performing math problems while flying
- Decisiveness when a decision needs to be made, including setting the right priorities
- Perseverance to achieve the requested values stay fly
- Showing learning curve, mistakes are not repeated
