Starting this summer, we at SimFlying are offering APS-MCC (Airline Pilot Standards – Multi-Crew Cooperation) training for aspiring pilots. The training is conducted on our Airbus A320 simulator and is aimed at optimally preparing candidates for their first position within an airline.
The APS-MCC is an EASA-defined training program that prepares pilots for operations in a multi-crew airline environment. With our training, we align directly with this and translate these requirements into a practical and realistic learning environment. The focus is on airline operations, collaboration, decision-making, and developing the right cockpit mindset.
We are currently in the certification process with the inspection of living environment and transport (ILT). This process is expected to be completed this summer, after which we can formally start the APS-MCC training with the first class.
With the introduction of the APS-MCC training, we are taking the next step in professionalizing our training offerings. Whereas we previously focused primarily on (airline) assessment training, simulator experiences for private individuals, and CRM training, we are now expanding into training (future) airline pilots on the Airbus A320.
“With this training, we are bringing our A320 simulator and our training offering to the level of a real airline environment,” said Toby Enzerink, co-owner of SimFlying. “We combine realistic scenarios with the experience of active airline instructors, so that candidates are not only technically prepared, but also operationally and mentally ready for their first airline job. We are therefore currently fully engaged in all preparations to successfully launch the training this summer.”
“The demand for preparation for airline selections is growing. With the introduction of the Airbus at many Western airlines, we see a clear need for high-quality APS-MCC training on the Airbus A320,” adds the co-owner. Matthijs Tissen adds: “We do not limit ourselves to just the training as prescribed by legislation, but also offer an extensive aftercare program with which we guide candidates towards their first airline position.”
The APS-MCC training is conducted on our Airbus A320 simulator. We are currently in the process of certifying this simulator as FNPTII – MCC. The training is provided by experienced and certified instructors who are active at various Dutch airlines.
