Special program for fear of flying

SimFlying has a special 1-on-1 program for people who want to reduce their fear of flying. During this program you will be guided by one of our experienced instructors. He will take you on a flight in our simulator, after you have started up with a cup of coffee or tea.

Our fear of flying training is given in our briefing room and realistic flight simulators.

Our trainers are real pilots and take you into the world of aviation. Everything is tailored to your fear(s)!

The training is just for you and a friend or family member, so we can fully focus on your fear(s).

This training is suitable for participants who already know where the fear of flying mainly comes from, think of: fear of turbulence, of crashing or specifically landing. The training lasts 2 hours and costs €300, and is set up based on your needs.

Our simulators

Airbus A320

We work with an advanced Airbus A320 simulator. This aircraft has been flown by Transavia in the Netherlands since 2024. KLM will also gradually switch to the Airbus A2024 series in the summer of 320. This simulator therefore fits in well with developments in aviation.

Boeing 737

We also work with the Boeing 737NG. This aircraft is currently (still) used by many Dutch airlines. So there is a good chance that you will fly to your holiday destination with it in the near future.

What does the fear of flying training look like?

You always start at the table with an introduction to our instructor, while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. We tell you about the importance of safety in aviation, among other things. We do not only focus on 'insensitive' numbers and percentages, but especially on your experience. We look at everything that happens during a flight. The explanation is tailored to what you need to overcome your fear of flying. Fear of flying can be present in different forms.

When you are ready, you will take a seat in the simulator with the instructor. Nothing will happen yet, you will just sit down and absorb the impressions of the cockpit. The instructor will provide more information and explanation about flying.

The next step is that we will fly simulator (only if you are ready!). We will build it up slowly and show you different systems, such as the autopilot. We will also explain what happens in the cockpit during a flight. Does it feel good? Then you can also fly a bit yourself under the guidance of our instructor!

After the flight there will be a debriefing where there is enough time to ask questions. Do you have any wishes in advance? Please indicate this during the booking, this helps us with the preparation of your fear of flying training.
